Florida Semiconductor Institute to Help Lead State in Critical Chips Sector

The University of Florida’s Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering has launched the Florida Semiconductor Institute (FSI). FSI will be a central hub, both on campus and across the state, dedicated to leading advancements in semiconductor technology for the 21st century. With significant federal investments to bring semiconductor manufacturing back to the United States and boost domestic chip technology research, FSI aims to bolster Florida’s semiconductor research and development while supporting the state’s fifth-largest semiconductor workforce.
