The Statewide Semiconductor Initiative on Friday, November 17, hosted by the Florida Semiconductor Institute at the University of Florida, proved to be a resounding success.

Designed to set the standard for future STEM buildings across national and international campuses and transform the artificial intelligence (AI) and data science workforce, the University of Florida Friday held a celebratory ribbon cutting for the Malachowsky Hall for Data Science & Information Technology.

In a press release distributed on Oct. 11, the Florida Department of Commerce touted the creation of the Florida Semiconductor Institute.
