The Florida Semiconductor Institute (FSI) is proud to announce the new Global Strategy Council (GSC), a distinguished advisory body that will provide external guidance to shape FSI’s strategy and efforts with the evolving needs of the U.S. and global semiconductor ecosystem.

The Florida Semiconductor Institute (FSI) has joined the U.S. National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC), as a Core member. Operated by Natcast and supported by the CHIPS for America initiative, the NSTC serves as a center for research, engineering, and workforce development across the nation.

Hosted at NeoCity, FL, with the support of the Florida Semiconductor Institute, IEEE’s TryEngineering Educator Session focused on providing Florida Educators with a hands-on, interactive glimpse into semiconductor manufacturing and technology to help teachers connect classroom learning to meaningful careers.

The Florida Semiconductor Institute (FSI) has officially added the Novel Performance-Driven 3D Imaging System for Extremely Noisy Objects (NPIX) to the FSI Lab—ushering in a new era of precision imaging and inspection.

Please join us in welcoming Istiaq Shiam, to the FSI team! We are excited to have Istiaq onboard as an Engineer II. Istiaq brings a strong background in semiconductor fabrication, equipment maintenance, and process optimization. He holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas State University, where he specialized in semiconductor material processing and characterization.

This talk will provide interdisciplinary semiconductor concepts and emerging technologies that will be integrated in existing courses with novel experiential lab training in Class 1000 cleanroom environment. Our second talk will discuss our approach to enabling highly flexible, scalable, and cost-effective solutions, positioning photonics as a key enabler for the future of high-speed, energy-efficient network infrastructure.
