Dr. Dalir’s group at the Florida Semiconductor Institute recently published a paper in Nature Communications Physics showcasing their research on integrating machine learning with optical networks.

A team of researchers, led by Dr. Mark Sheplak, Dr. Roozbeh Tabrizian, and Dr. Philip Feng aim to overcome the challenge of existing sensors faltering under extreme temperatures.

The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and the Florida Semiconductor Institute hosted an event on Friday, Nov. 17, bringing together thought leaders from academia and industry, to brainstorm and prepare for Florida’s future as a leading semiconductor hub in the nation.

On Sept. 19, Governor DeSantis announced $50 million for a cutting-edge workforce development initiative which will be dedicated to supporting Florida’s semiconductor industry.
