FSI Welcomes Ben Larry to the Team!

We’re excited to welcome Ben Larry as FSI’s Assistant Director of Workforce Integration. In this role, Ben will focus on the “last mile” of the educational training process, ensuring that students and trainees are not only ready for the semiconductor workforce but also successfully placed in industry roles. He brings extensive knowledge of what companies are looking for in hires, and a strong passion for training up the next generation. Ben will also play a key role in strengthening connections between industry and higher education institutions across Florida.
Ben brings over 30 years of proven leadership in Human Resources, with extensive experience in workforce development, community engagement, and organizational strategy. Before joining FSI, he served as Director of Human Resources at SkyWater Technology Florida Advanced Packaging. There, he led workforce development and community relations initiatives, including the creation of SkyWater Florida’s internship program, which served students from NeoCity Academy, Valencia College’s Mechatronics and Robotics programs, and engineering students from UF, UCF, USF, and Florida Polytechnic University.
Earlier in his career, Ben held HR leadership roles at several prominent technology manufacturing companies, including MTS Systems, Stratasys Inc., and Honeywell Inc. He also held senior HR roles at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota and the Mayo Medical Center in Rochester, Minnesota.
Ben earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Tougaloo College in Jackson, Mississippi, and a Master’s in Health Services Administration from the University of Kansas. He also completed the Business & Community Economic Development Program through the Carlson School of Management Executive Education at the University of Minnesota.
In addition to his professional achievements, Ben serves on several boards and advisory groups, including Career Source Central Florida, the Broadening Participation and Inclusive Engagement (BPIE) initiative, and USF’s Semiconductor NSF Research Traineeship Program Industrial Advisory Board. He is also a 2023 graduate of Osceola County’s Leadership Osceola Program.
