The Florida Semiconductor Institute (FSI) has joined the U.S. National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC), as a Core member. Operated by Natcast and supported by the CHIPS for America initiative, the NSTC serves as a center for research, engineering, and workforce development across the nation.
FSI Joins the NSTC as a Core Member
With $11 billion of the $50 billion CHIPS for America initiative investment targeted at research and development, the National Semiconductor Technology Center was a large recipient considering the potential power of the connective organization.
Described as a hub for progressive innovation, the NSTC aims to connect industry, academia, and government across the industry to break down barriers and advance technological development. By fostering collaboration and connecting members in their network, the NSTC supports the strengthening of the U.S. semiconductor ecosystem and encourages growth in not just manufacturing and research, but also workforce development.
The NSTC’s membership program allows companies, research labs, investors, and institutions to join this unique consortium.
With this exciting opportunity, FSI has become a Core member with NSTC, allowing FSI to reach fellow NSTC members across the nation and contribute further to the rapidly growing industry. This membership will also allow FSI to expand workforce development programs with NSTC support, which will further propel careers in semiconductor manufacturing.
We look forward to the collaborations that this membership will bring and hope to support national efforts to secure global leadership in semiconductor design and manufacturing.
