Volunteer at STEM on the Lawn, Presented by UF FSI

Join us in bringing STEM to life for hundreds of K-12 students and their families! STEM on the Lawn is a free, family-friendly community event featuring hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math activities hosted by companies, UF departments, and educators. Volunteers play a key role in creating a fun, safe, and inspiring experience for all attendees.

Time: 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Volunteer Opportunities & Shifts

We offer a range of roles to suit your schedule and skills. UF-affiliated volunteers must complete two trainings (YSC800 and YSC100) to comply with the Youth Compliance department at UF. 

Volunteer Shifts

Yes! We will provide documentation of service hours upon request. Make sure to check in and out with the volunteer lead on the day of the event. 

Not at all! Enthusiasm, a friendly attitude, and a willingness to help are what we need most. Training and instructions will be provided. 

Yes, volunteers will receive water and pizza. 

Yes. Free parking instructions will be emailed prior to the event.  

Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes.  

Absolutely! We welcome student organizations, clubs, and group sign-ups. Just let us know and we’ll do our best to keep you together.
