The Florida Semiconductor Engine is focused on developing the next generation of specialty and advanced packaging technologies, which produce cutting-edge semiconductors critical for defense, aerospace, medical, automotive, and other industries — bolstering our nation’s homeland security, creating new, high-wage jobs here at home, and transforming Florida’s economic landscape. This talk will outline the Engine’s vision for regional innovation.
Biography
Dr. Ronald F. Piccolo is President of ICAMR, Inc., Interim CEO of the National Science Foundation’s Florida Semiconductor Engine, Associate Dean of Strategic Initiatives, and Galloway Professor of Management in the College of Business at the University of Central Florida (UCF). From 2023-2026, he served as special assistant to the university’s Provost for Volusia County. Ron’s research, teaching, and consulting expertise is in strategic planning, leadership development, interpersonal relationships, motivation, and performance.
