Biography
Nicholas Fahrenkopf is the Technical Director and Principal Investigator for the Northeast Regional Defense Technology Hub, or “NORDTECH”, within the Microelectronics Commons. Before NORDTECH, Nick was an Engineering Manager for AIM Photonics, the government’s Manufacturing Innovation Institute dedicated to integrated photonics, and started his career as a process integration engineer at what is now NY Creates. Nick earned his BS in Physics and PhD in Nanoscale Engineering from the University at Albany, where he lectures as an adjunct professor on topics such as biosensors, integrated photonics, and nanofabrication.
