Abstract:
Using computer simulation to model and design semiconductor devices has been with us since the 1960’s so there is a long history of contributions and developments. I will review some of that history and discuss the state of the art today. The CHIPS Act has revitalized semiconductor research in this country, and I will discuss future challenges and opportunities.
