Please Join Us In Welcoming Cody Shumway to the Team!

We’re excited to welcome Cody Shumway to FSI as our new Administrative Assistant II!

Cody joins us from the UF Game Lab in the Wildlife, Ecology, and Conservation department at UF/IFAS, where he has served as Operations Specialist over the past year. In that role, he worked across administrative support, assisted with field work, and contributed to fundraising efforts throughout the state, demonstrating versatility, initiative, and a strong commitment to teamwork.

With professional experience spanning hospitality, law, and billing, Cody brings a robust background in administration and customer service that will serve him well in his new role and be a tremendous asset to our team.

Originally from Michigan and most recently a transplant from Portland, Oregon, Cody has lived across the United States and developed a passion for travel, hiking, and exploring new places. Outside of work, he’s a proud pet parent to two rescues, a street-savvy kitty from Portland and a recently adopted puppy from Lake City, Florida.

Cody is also known for being the first to volunteer for community engagement and local events (and enthusiastically volunteering others, too!).

We’re thrilled to have Cody join us as Administrative Assistant II and look forward to the energy, expertise, and enthusiasm he brings to FSI. Please join us in giving him a warm welcome!
