About the Summit

The Florida Semiconductor Summit is Florida’s premier gathering for the semiconductor industry, bringing together top executives, researchers, engineers, policymakers and students to tackle the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of chip technology in our state and across the nation. 

Now in its fifth year, the 2027 Summit is our most ambitious yet. Set against the backdrop of Palmetto’s stunning waterfront, FSS 2027 spans two days, with optional pre-summit workshops available for those looking to go deeper on specific topics. Expect an expanded Exposition Hall, a more competitive Innovation Pitch stage, exciting breakouts and networking events designed to go beyond the surface.

Optional Add-On Workshops

Enhance your Florida Semiconductor Summit experience by participating in one of our optional pre-conference workshops (March 30, 2027). Designed to provide attendees with a deeper dive into timely topics impacting the semiconductor industry, these interactive sessions offer additional learning and professional development opportunities beyond the main conference program.

Attendees interested in workshops must add the add-on event to their summit registration for an additional fee.

Bridging Blue Tech: Co-Creating Semiconductor Platforms for Coastal and Estuarine Resilience

Duration: Full day (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

Add-On Registration: $45

Florida’s coastline, measuring 8,439 miles, is the longest of any state in the continental United States and serves as a real-time testbed with enormous environmental, health and economic consequences for the state, the nation and the world.

The Bridging Blue Tech workshop will bring together expert ‘users’ from the coastal/estuarine communities, including coastal resilience of infrastructure, aquaculture, ecosystem restoration and expert semiconductor ‘technologists’ including sensors, heterogeneous systems, packaging and edge computing/AI. The workshop will begin with a session from coastal stakeholders and researchers on the state of coastal health, current monitoring and monitoring needs (i.e., what properties do stakeholders want to measure/monitor but cannot today), followed by a session on emerging sensors, heterogeneous system/packaging and edge computing/AI relevant for blue tech.

The workshop will be followed by a panel discussion on the economics of blue tech R&D to commercialization and scale-up and will conclude with a working session on development of a white paper/action plan for co-creating semiconductor platforms for coastal and estuarine resilience.

Photonics for Cloud and Edge Technologies

Duration: Half day (1 – 5 p.m.)

Add-On Registration: $25

This workshop explores how advances in photonics are enabling transformative improvements in performance, energy efficiency, bandwidth and scalability across cloud, edge, AI and specialty systems. Attendees will hear perspectives spanning emerging photonic technologies, system architectures and real-world applications, with a focus on the innovations needed to achieve the next 100× leap in system performance.

IMAPS Workshop

The IMAPS Florida Chapter Advanced Technical Workshop (ATW) will be co-located with the 2027 Florida Semiconductor Summit on March 30, 2027. This one-day workshop will bring together leading Technologists and Researchers offering attendees an opportunity to explore the “Advanced Semiconductor & Electronic Packaging for Harsh Environments” ecosystem. The workshop will feature highly technical presentations from industry and academic experts, along with a juried University student poster session showcasing emerging research and innovation.

Whether you’re looking to dive deeper into the latest technical advancements or network with researchers shaping the future of microelectronics, the IMAPS Florida Chapter ATW provides a valuable complement to the broader, collaboration-focused programming of the Florida Semiconductor Summit. Registration and additional details will be available soon.

The Florida Semiconductor Summit is an annual event that brings together the top voices in the Florida semiconductor ecosystem: academia, industry and government. It is the state’s premier forum for the conversations, collaborations and connections driving Florida’s growth as a national semiconductor hub. 

Register here for the 2027 Florida Semiconductor Summit. 

The 2027 Florida Semiconductor Summit will take place from Mar. 31 to Apr. 1, 2027. Workshops will take place on Mar. 30, 2027. Both the summit and workshops will be held at the Bradenton Area Convention Center. For more information on the location, click here. 

We aim to announce speakers as soon as we can, but please allow until Jan. 2027 for the full agenda announcement. Subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on LinkedIn for updates.  

Full Refund Deadline: Cancellations received on or before Jan. 31, 2027 will receive a full refund of the registration fee.

Partial Refund Deadline: Cancellations received between Feb. 1 – Feb. 28, 2027 will be eligible for a 50% refund.

No Refunds starting, Mar. 1, 2027, due to event commitments.

No-Show Policy: Registrants who do not attend and have not cancelled will be responsible for the full registration fee and cannot dispute a refund.
