Critical Frequency Design (CFD) is advancing communications for defense in both Free Space Optics (FSO) and Microwave Photonics (MWP). Through innovative design, CFD is applying integrated photonics to enhance our communication systems.
Biography
Shayla Breedlove completed her bachelor’s degree in 2016 from The Ohio State University. She obtained her master’s and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Florida. Her dissertation research focused on plasmonic device fabrication using perovskite materials. Shayla is a photonics engineer and leads the Photonic Integrated Circuit Center of Excellence at Critical Frequency Design in Melbourne, FL. Her previous experience includes working as an electrical engineer at L3Harris and as a medical device engineer at Battelle Memorial Institute.
