Biography

Jesse currently works as an Economic Development Adviser with McKinsey and Co., where he supports large-scale state and local economic and energy investment projects. He originally joined McKinsey in 2017 and previously led the McKinsey Center for Government (MCG), a global center of excellence that helps government leaders deliver effectively. He also served as Global Head of External Relations for McKinsey’s Advanced Industries Practice.

Throughout his career, Jesse has developed knowledge on sustainable, inclusive economic growth as part of senior teams in government, philanthropy, and the private sector. He served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Policy, a senior leadership role in the Biden-Harris administration’s cross-government industrial policy work, which included semiconductor supply chain resilience. As the leader of the Pentagon’s defense industrial policy office, he managed the use of defense production investments, supply chain resilience, CFIUS, and international defense industrial cooperation, as well the Pentagon’s industry engagement.
