UF Semiconductor Career Readiness Organization Hosts Annual SCROcase Event

Last week, the student-led UF Semiconductor Career Readiness Organization (SCRO) hosted its annual SCROcase event at Malachowsky Hall. The event offered students an exclusive opportunity to dive into the semiconductor industry through a series of engaging presentations and a networking session with leading industry professionals. Attendees gained valuable insights into potential internship opportunities and learned about the diverse career paths the semiconductor sector has to offer. More than 65 students participated, with top companies like Texas Instruments, Micron, and Plasma-Therm joining to connect with the next generation of talent.

SCRO, dedicated to preparing students for careers in the semiconductor field, also organizes hands-on fabrication workshops each summer. These workshops give students the chance to gain practical experience in micro and nanofabrication processes.
